As we age the foundation of our face is diminished because we lose bone, muscle and fat.   On top of that we slowly lose the natural volume of our youthful skin and wrinkles and folds begin to settle in.  Our cheeks become more hollow and the crease that runs from the bottom of your nose to he corners of your mouth become deep.  We can even change your look to make you look more masculine and rugged.  You will see the results immediately.

What are fillers?

Most fillers are made of hyaluronic acid that resembles the skin’s own material.  One filler is calcium based gel that creates a foundation for the lower layers of facial tissue and stimulates collagen production.  Over 10 million treatments have been performed over 10 years worldwide.  Fillers are long lasting but are not permanent.  Typically fillers last 6 months to 18 months.

Why have Dr. Mai do your fillers?

Dr. Mai will tailor your treatment depending on your desired outcome.  She understands the difference between the look of man’s face than woman’s face.

What can you expect during your treatment

The doctor will decide which filler is beneficial for you in the areas where you have volume loss and wrinkles. She will then clean the area and inject the filler where it is need. You will see immediate results. Afterwards, you may have some swelling and redness. In some cases, there will be bruising. Some patients experience some pressure and some minor discomfort, but these symptoms will diminish in a few days or couple of weeks.
